This listing is for my Monarch Butterfly Crochet Pattern. This printable PDF includes written and detailed photo instructions.

LANGUAGES: English (American crochet terminology)

SIZE:
If using the recommended yarn weight and hook size your butterfly will be about 4 inches (10 cm) wide and 3 inches (7 cm) long.

CONSTRUCTION:
The butterfly is crocheted in 5 pieces. The veins and markings on the wings are embroidered. The wings are sewn on the body. There is the option of either crocheting or attaching wired legs and antennae to the amigurumi.

MATERIALS AND TOOLS:
- Cotton yarn in 4-Ply/Sport or DK/light worsted weight in orange and black (or 2 different colors of choice)
[I used Rico Creative Ricorumi DK in Fox and Scheepjes Catona in Jet Black]
- 2.5mm crochet hook / Size B-1 or C-2, depending on how tightly you crochet
- white embroidery floss
- Stitch markers
- Yarn needle
- Large-eyed sewing needle
- Scissors
- Craft wire (optional for the legs and antennae)
- Glue (optional for the legs and antennae)
- Small flat pliers (optional for the legs and antennae)
