This listing is for my gnome crochet pattern. This printable PDF pattern includes written and detailed photo instructions for crocheting Nollaig the Gnome.

PLEASE NOTE, this pattern is specifically written for plush/velvet/velour/chenille yarn.

PATTERN LANGUAGE: English (US) only

TECHNIQUES: The gnome crochet pattern includes photo tutorials on how to make a magic ring, invisible decreases in single crochet, and closing small rounds.
You will also learn how to crochet the loop stitch.

CONSTRUCTION: The body and head are crocheted in one piece. The arms are crocheted on. The beard, nose and feet are sewn on. The hat is removable.

MATERIALS AND TOOLS:
Super bulky/super chunky velour/velvet/chenille/plush yarn:
- 200g (7oz) / 240m (262yds) in red
- 100g (3.5oz) / 120m (131yds) in white and skin tone of choice
[I used Honey Bunny Shine from Hobbii in Tomato (40), White (01) and Beige (05)]
- 5.5mm / Size I-9 crochet hook
- Fiberfill
- Stitch markers
- Yarn needle (preferably with bent tip)
- Sewing pins
- Scissors

SIZE:
The gnome will be about 46 cm/18" tall, including hat and about 25 cm/10" wide.
If you would like him to be larger or smaller, you can use a different yarn weight (as long as it is chenille yarn) and adjust the hook size accordingly.
