Owl Amigurumi Pattern

€0.00
This listing is for my owl amigurumi pattern, Octavia the owl. It's a fun little crochet project for improving beginners as well as seasoned crocheters!

I have a combi-pattern for my doll Meja the healer and Octavia the owl. So if you want to make Meja as well, you can instead purchase the following pattern: https://etsy.me/36TFxoj

Octavia lives in the enchanted forest and likes doing the usual owl stuff, like catching mice, hooting, blending into trees, and sleeping through the day.
Sometimes she joins her friend Meja, the healer, on her early morning walks before heading to bed in her favorite tree.
I’m sure she will make a fun little addition to your Amigurumi collection.

This owl amigurumi pattern has detailed step-by-step instructions that are accompanied with high quality photos of the process.
The pattern includes photo tutorials on how to make a magic ring, invisible decreases in single crochet, and invisible finishes.

The owl is crocheted from head to tail. The face and wings are sewn on with a few stitches. The yellow circles and the bill are embroidered.
The feet are bent with craft wire. This works best with small pliers, eg for jewelry making. Alternatively, you could use a pipe cleaner for them.

The listing also includes an add-on pattern on how to make Sage the snowy owl.

Materials and tools you need for the owl:

Cotton yarn in a DK / light worsted weight in brown/cream [I used Scheepjes Stone Washed in Brown Agate (822) and Scheepjes Catona in Linen (505)]
2.5mm crochet hook / Size B-1 or C-2, depending on how tightly you crochet
Black and yellow embroidery floss
5mm safety eyes
Fiberfill
Large-eyed sewing needle
Stitch markers
Yarn needle
Scissors
Golden/brass colored craft wire (at least 1mm diameter)
Small flat pliers

For Sage the snowy owl, you need cotton yarn in a DK / light worsted weight in white [I used Scheepjes Catona in Snow White (106)] and fluffy white DK / light worsted weight yarn [I used Sirdar Snuggly Snowflake DK in Milky (630)]

If using the recommended yarn weight and hook size, your owl will be 6.5cm / 2.5" tall from head to tail feathers.
