DEER FAMILY:

Materials and tools:
- Cotton yarn in DK / light worsted weight in light brown for the bodies, white for the ears, tails and spots and beige for the antlers [I used Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in Fudge (410), Champagne White (412) and Vanilla Cream (408)]
- Fluffy DK / light worsted yarn in brown for the stag’s neck [I used King Cole DK in Mocha (4370)]
- 2.5mm crochet hook / Size B-1 or C-2 depending on how tightly you crochet
- 3 pairs of 5mm safety eyes
- Black embroidery floss for the noses and eyelines
- Fiberfill
- Stitch marker
- Yarn needle
- Sewing pins
- Large-eyed sewing needle
- Craft wire (AWG18 / 1 mm thick)

Size:

EUROPEAN ROBIN:

- Cotton yarn in DK/light worsted weight in rusty red, light brown, gray and white
[I used Rico Creative Ricorumi DK in Fox, Light Brown, Mouse Grey and Cream]
- 2.5 mm crochet hook / Size B-1 or C-2 depending on how tightly you crochet
- 4.5 mm safety eyes or black embroidery floss
- Fiberfill

- 12” (30 cm) long piece of AWG18 (1 mm thick) craft wire (optional)

BUTTERFLY:

Materials and tools:
- Cotton yarn in 4-Ply / Sport or DK / light worsted weight in orange and black (or two different colors of choice) [I used Rico Creative Ricorumi DK in Fox and Scheepjes Catona in Jet Black]
- 2.5 mm crochet hook / Size B-1 or C-2, depending on how tightly you crochet
- white embroidery floss
- Stitch markers
- Yarn needle
- Large-eyed sewing needle

MOUSE:

Materials and tools:
- Cotton yarn in 4-Ply / Fingering or DK / light worsted weight in light brown or gray (main color) and cream, beige or light pink (secondary color)
If you want to crochet the acorn too, you’ll also need ochre and dark brown
[I used Scheepjes Catona in Camel and Hazelnut for the mouse and Ginger Gold and Chocolate for the Acorn]
- 1.75 mm / A-0 hook
- 2.5 mm crochet hook / Size B-1 or C-2 depending on how tightly you crochet

FOX:

RABBIT:

Materials and tools:
For the smaller rabbit [approximately 8 inches (20 cm)] tall:
- Worsted (Aran or 10-ply) yarn in brown or beige and cream or white [I used Scheepjes Stone Washed XL in Brown Agate and Moon Stone. Boulder Opal would be a nice shade for a lighter-colored rabbit.]
- 3.5 mm (E) crochet hook
- 9 mm safety eyes
- Black or pink embroidery floss
- Large-eyed sewing needle

For the larger rabbit [approximately 12 inches (30 cm)] tall:
- Bulky (chunky or 12-ply) yarn [I used chunky chenille yarn: Cygnet Jellybaby in Teddy and Vanilla Milkshake.]
- 5 mm (H) crochet hook
- 15 mm safety eyes
- Black 4-Ply (Fingering) yarn for the embroidery [I used Scheepjes Catona]

For both rabbits:
- Fiberfill
- 9 stitch markers
- Yarn needle
- Sewing pins
- Scissors
- Drop of glue (optional)

Size:

WREN:

Materials and tools:
- Cotton yarn in DK/light worsted weight in brown or brown flecked, beige, and a tiny amount in ochre for the beak
[I used Scheepjes Stone Washed in Brown Agate (822), Rico Creative Ricorumi DK
in Beige (055), and Scheepjes Catona in Ginger Gold (383) for the beak]
- 2.5 mm crochet hook / Size B-1 or C-2 depending on how tightly you crochet
- 4 mm or 5 mm safety eyes
- Fiberfill
- Stitch marker
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
- 12” (30 cm) long piece of 1mm thick (18 AWG) craft wire (optional)

- 2 drops of superglue (optional)

LARGE OWL:

Materials and tools:
- Scheepjes Stone Washed XL in Brown Agate or other worsted weight / aran yarn in brown (4 to 5 skeins = 300 to 375 m)
- Scheepjes Stone Washed XL in Axinite or other worsted weight / aran yarn in cream (about 1/2 skein = 35 to 40 m)
- James C. Brett Faux Fur in color H4 or other faux fur yarn in beige (about 1/4 skein = 20 to 30 m)
- Scheepjes Catona in Camel or other light worsted / DK yarn in camel or yellow (1 x 10g skein = 25 m)
- Scheepjes Catona in Jet Black or other light worsted / DK yarn in black (1 x 10g skein = 25 m)
- 3.5 mm crochet hook / Size E-4
